We are a Bakery/Deli specializing in gluten-free foods.
The definition of zest is:
1 : a piece of the peel of a citrus fruit (as an orange or lemon) used as flavoring
2 : an enjoyably exciting quality : piquancy <adds zest to the performance>
3 : keen enjoyment : relish, gusto <has a zest for living>
The name behind our bakery reflects the spirit and passion we have for baking. We pride ourselves in our fresh breads, pastries, and pizza doughs which we make with local ingredients.
Zest Bakery plans to utilize the Bay Area farmers markets as the initial venue to sell our products. With small markets open on the weekdays and larger markets on the weekends, we feel these venues will provide us with the best introduction of Zest Bakery to our customers.
Zest Bakery plans to begin selling at the markets in the spring of 2010

Celiac disease affects 1 out of 133 people; these people are unable to ingest the protein gluten, which is found in many ingredients that people eat everyday such as wheat/wheat flour which is found in most breads.
Zest Bakery's target customers have Celiac's disease or have an intolerance to gluten. We aim to provide these customers with wholesome and affordable alternatives to the breads and desserts many people have to live without due to allergies. In the future, Zest Bakery plans to provide products for customers who have nut and soy allergies and those following a vegan diet.
We are a fun, whimsical bakery looking for a clean and simple logo to use on our packaging and on our website. We really want a logo that embodies the definition and spirit behind the Zest brand.
