fshehzad2 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Young Fresh Retro Unisex Logo for Loyalty/Rewards Scheme - READ THE BRIEF PLEASE
Check out fshehzad2's Logo design contest…
BRAND BACKGROUND The name of the company is Purple Points, and its purpose is to serve as a loyalty points scheme for a large service provider and retailer, the industry of the service provider or the products the retailer sells are irrelevant.
Logo types to explore
The biggest challenge here is how does one represent "points"? by points I mean the type of points you collect from schemes such as Nectar, Tesco ClubCard, Shell Drivers Club Points etc. For the icon, may i suggest that you show 4-5 side views of stacks of coins, with one of two stacks showing the coins falling on top of the stacks?? The core requirements of the brand are maintaining customer loyalty, collection and redemption of reward points, the colour purple (dark like the cadburys colour), the brand must look fresh, retro, funky and must be accepted by men and women. These requirements must be met when the brand is designed and all the requirements need to be present. LOGO A logo is required for this brand all the points listed above must be met. The logo will need to be printed on plastic cards and other printed media as well as the website so it must be easily identifiable and therefore must look good on all media; website, print, business card, plastic card. You will also need to provide a full colour logo and a black and white one. The logo must be web 2.0. and not look like a boring corporate accountants logo. You could also maybe put in reference to rewards/loyalty in the logo. The logo is comprised of the text part and an icon. Please note that each design must meet each requirement listed below, any designs that do not meet these will not be accepted: 1. The logo must be web 2.0 - no flat logos 2. The word "purple" must be in purple and the word "points" must be in orange 3. There must be an icon which either represents loyalty/rewards or an icon for "purplepoints" 4. No full purple backgrounds 5. The logo must be UNISEX, FUN, YOUNG, FRESH 6. NO CROWNS, TROPHIES OR SCIENCE FAIR BADGES in the logo icon Below are some examples to give you some inspiration, notice how these logos are done, their icons represent what there business is or the actual name of the company: http://web2list.com/logos/ E.g. Squidoo - logo is of a squid JumpCut - logo is of a camera YouSendIt - logo is of a paper aeroplane DealsPlus - logo is of a plus sign FeedBurner - logo is of a fire burning Below is a link showing web 2.0 text effects: http://fontfeed.com/archives/the-lo Many Thanks
