How maiga started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I teach yoga, train yoga teachers, lead retreats domestically and internationally, and teach workshops both in person as well as online. My retreat work has branched out into some travel design for niche audiences like budget travelers or travelers seeking a certain diet, like vegan options. I also create ceremony and ritual by Officiating weddings and sometimes do baby naming ceremonies. My target audience is people like me-- generally people who are interested in yoga, healthy living, travel, environmentalism, art, etc.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I am leaning towards black and white and greyscale but I'm open to suggestions on color. I’d like stronger, more assertive colors
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I like the sacred geometry
I like the 2D, old-fashioned, Americana art
I like the fonts and the use of space
I like the simplicity of the continuous line drawing
I like the 2D, interesting, Americana art and the font
I REALLY like the art and the use of circles (both wheels and the way the text arches)
I love interesting art like a bird fading to pixels
I like the use of space and font
I love the swirling, almost water color
I like the art and feel
I love strong imagery. I like some of the Americana feel of this: http://www.maguyoga.com/ I would love the incorporation of yantras, sacred geometry, a compass, or the moon. (Yantras and geometry connect to yoga-- a compass could connect to travel or landing where you are, which is also yoga.) I also love images of the natural world like moons, trees, mountains. I know this could sound busy-- I'd rather it become clean, simple, but evocative. I'd like the logo to easily be black and white but I'm open to color washes-- especially a water color background on a line drawing (type thing). To see more of the work I do (and VERY old design that needs to go) this is my website: http://maigamilbourne.com/
Also, I don’t really do spa, soft, girlie yoga. Think active, assertive. With text, I’d like it to look hand printed (but not feminine). Thank you!
