Ari is wonderful to work with; creative, intuitive, responsive and collaborative. What we particularly appreciated was the thoughtful attention paid to our brief, and the careful balance between depth and simplicity in design. We'll definitely partner up for one-on-one projects in the future, and I highly recommend Ari's skills.
How WordPressBuddy started their logo design journey
WordPress Buddy is an online service that helps people and businesses get going with WordPress by providing a Premium WordPress Theme, installed and customized to suit their personal or business identity.
Our service doesn't stop there, we also optimize your site, so it's ready for Ad Management, Social Sharing, and Search Engine Optimization. WordPress Buddy makes getting a website easy, and affordable.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
WordPress Buddy is based in Canada, but our target market includes the U.S., Canada and Australia (and all of the other countries in between). We're specifically targeting those people and businesses who know that they should have a blog, but don't know how to get it all going.
We are also moving to become sub-contractors for other developers who would like to save time, by having us do the basic install and set up, as well as minor customization.
We're looking for a logo that reflects the nature of the organization. We chose the name "Buddy" believing that the term reflects a friend, in a relaxed and fun manner.
We're open to all suggestions for this project, and we're very open-minded folks.
The only idea that we've thought to try and include has been a dog (man's best friend) and from stock images we came across Max the Dog http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-ph…ng-dog.php
and considered possibly using these or similar images within the site. Although we are not commited to this idea.
We are more interested in illustrated (cartoon type) images compared to photos, and we're also more interested in having the focus be on the wording "WordPress Buddy" then an icon.
But like we said, we're totally open to ideas here. We will simply get your ideas and then have a little voting contest between our group to decide which logo best fits our needs.
