2BySea.com is a vacation and charter business within an industry not normally known for marketing to the general vacationing public. The exclusive yachting vacation will appeal to anyone who wants to, loves to, or has vacationed on a cruise ship. 2BySea.com will become the forefront provider of endless vacations and exotic charters with the introduction of its unprecedented penny/dime bidding process.
Consumers and all of the general vacationing public who wants to, loves to, or has vacationed on a cruise ship.
If you were to take Expedia.com and only offer yacht/cruise-based vacations... and were selling these vacations in a penny auction environment only, where the consumer can get a vacation worth several thousand dollars for only a few hundred dollars... that would give you a good example of what we have created here.
To create the logo/brand for 2BySea.com. This logo/brand will be used on all online and offline packaging and collateral. The logo needs to be iconic in effect and have a true Web2.0 look and feel. Our web site caters mostly to consumers, so an iconic logo that represents something related to yacht or catamaran based vacations would be a good place to start. Remember, we are a penny auction site, providing vacation packages by sea. This should be a fun, feel good logo. It should make the viewer instantly feel like they are sailing the caribbean. This means the color wheel should speak caribbean too. Let your vision and talent carry you the rest of the way!
Please take a look at our UI mock-up to get an idea on site workflow: http://2bysea.com/uidesigns/
Color: after further collaborating with all parties involved in this project... it has been decided that the color choice moving forward needs to be a combination of both blue and orange. I will leave it to all of the designers to choose the appropriate color variations/gradations used.
Name: the name 2BYSEA, should be displayed in ALL CAPS and not contain the .COM (take a look at design#-18 for an good example of usage).
Iconic Element: everyone seems to be using a variation of a cruise ship in the iconic part of their designs. Please... NO CRUISE SHIPS!! If using a type of vessel, please use a catamaran or sailboat only. I even suggest doing a variation utilizing each.
