We are a private corporation wholly owned by a regional university, established to generate revenue through a wide range of commercial business activities. We will have a very diverse portfolio of business assets including real estate, retail services, natural resource management companies and a long potential list of other things. We are entrepreneurial, combining innovation and implementation to create new businesses. All of our profit is dispersed to our 2 beneficiaries: the university and its related foundation. We are going to do some pretty cool and fun things to change the face of campus life for students and start up some interesting/unique businesses that serve our communities. We are multifaceted and more interesting that your average business or your average university. We want our youthfulness and excitement (along with our professionalism) to show through in our logo. Our audience is anyone who might choose to partner with us or invest with us (from individuals to other commercial businesses to community organizations), as well as the our beneficiaries (the university and its foundation) and all the people (faculty, staff, students) that our activities benefit.

See attached file for more detailed design brief and examples. Although after putting this to paper I think many of the examples I've shown are quite geometric, and am very open to more organic ideas.
