Mascot logo needed for new website containing helpful articles, information and how-to’s.
Hosting Help Guy/Girl
What's your vision?
We are in need of a cartoon style mascot for a technical help website that we will soon be launching. The mascot will drive the persona of the site and serve as the focus of our branding efforts. The mascot will need to be a vector cartoon style and we need both a male and female version. Both characters should be in the 25-30 age range, provide a smiling, friendly feel and both should be drawn in similar fashions so that they are recognizable as similar. The male character should have a techy/geeky look and the female character should have a geeky/cute look. The male version should be accompanied with the text “Hosting Help Guy” while the female version should be accompanied with the text “Hosting Help Guy Girl” with the “Guy” portion crossed out and “Girl” appearing to have been handwritten in lipstick. Both versions of the characters (or portion of) will need to be able to be clear and recognizable when scaled down to 125x125, 50x50 and 16x16 for use as avatars and favicon.ico. Just the head may be used in the scaled down versions for clarity’s sake. The style that we are looking for is something very similar to the following existing artwork: http://www.mental-distortions.com/gallery-vector-illustrations/2006-vector-eddie.gif The male character should be much younger, as described above, and a bit more “cool”. The female character should not have eyeglasses and should be cute but preserve the computer geek persona and should convey a sense of “girl power”. Varied use of clothing to achieve the desired effects is ok. To help segment the contest the competition will be presented in stages as detailed below. Awards: 1st Place - $700 & Free Year of our Pro Hosting Plan (Worth $227) 2nd - 5th Places - Free Year of our Pro Hosting Plan (Worth $227) ~EDIT~ Just to clarify: All work needs to be original and not modifications of existing work, clip art, etc.
- Stage 1 Full version of either one of the characters. Once the desired style has been achieved for one of the characters the designer can then move on to Stage 2. - Stage 2 Full version of the remaining character. Once the desired style has been achieved for one of the characters the designer can then move on to Stage 3. - Stage 3 125x125 versions of both characters (avatar) 50x50 versions of both characters (avatar) 16x16 versions of both characters (favicon) - Earth tone color scheme (browns, dark reds, oranges, yellows, etc.)
