How Pompie started their logo design journey
We are a small group of technicians that basically got into this business as an excuse to get our hands on the latest and greatest tech toys. We love the Mac and couldn't live without our iPhones. We rock our customers world by turning a tragic event into a positive experience with overnight turnaround on Mac laptop, iPhone, iPod and Sony PSP repairs. We work hard and we have fun while we're doing it.
Our original logo was built to portray our Technicians as the heroic figures that they are - the guys that save your ass and have your MacBook Pro back to you overnight, from California to New York. The logo should inspire our employees just as much as it inspires our customers. The clock background was to portray our fast service - but after 5 years and over 50,000 repairs under our belts, we think it's time for an update.
Trouble is, how do we keep our existing image and color scheme while bringing logo up to date? That's where you come in. Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want to keep the logo recognizable since we've pretty much funded Google's private plane with all the branding we've done during the past 5 years. The goal is to have a logo that shows a heroic technician, losing the existing clock background and at a glance, can be used to spread our message that "help is on the way" - that there's a quick solution to your broken screen, your toilet soaked iPhone, etc...
We perform repairs for consumers, businesses and schools. The challenge is that we often only have a few seconds to gab their attention - the logo is usually the first thing they see on our website, in our advertisement, on our branded merchandise. Our customers are freaked out - they just broke the device they use 10 times a day and they don't know who to turn to for help. We want to capture their trust and interest as quickly as possible.
We want our existing logo modified and updated to show more speed, more urgency, more trust. The existing color scheme fits our website and other branded material - so we'd like to stick with that. The logo should fit in with what we have done on our website at http://techrestore.com
The logo should be able to be used in all kinds of spots - web, print, shirts, hats, etc..
We would also like a half-tone, gray B&W version since oftentimes we need to use non-color logos.
