We are setting up an innovative climbing gym with a modular approach where we also include leisure (bar), co-working desks and additional activities (ie events, concerts etc). The name Beta is a climbing term meaning "solution" originated from the Betamax format due to people recording their "solution" on these cards. We want to be the solution to a lot of problems (ie exercise, work-life balance, culture etc). We were also inspired by the beta used in coding to denote something at the forefront / cutting edge (and experimental). It would be nice to try and play with the Beta being a greek letter but also a modern concept in those fields mentioned above. We would like the logo to have essentially two parts: a graphic 'logo' that stands out (catchy, simple, immediate, easy to recognise), which is then accompanied by words that vary according to the activity/venue (see attached file for visual reference - those are still under definitions for example "Beta Boulders" is the climbing work stream). One of the other elements which inspired us has been an exclusive members club, but we are trying to be inclusive which is also inclusive. We like sophistication, but accessible for all. "Everyone is welcome" is one of our mottos. We would also like the graphic identity of the logo to reflect the ambition of Beta boulders, which is to allow its users/visitors/clients to cultivate a responsible, yet carefree approach to life and work "There is no plan b, only Beta" is currently our working slogan. One of our team member is a graphic designer and the plan is to work alongside the selected logo designers to create a custom logo, plus potentially expand the scope to include brand identity or additional material (to be negotiated separately)
