I am a web designer and technical writer, and I also do brochures, video editing, trade shows, and other marketing work -- but not logos. :-) I'm launching a new site to promote my business with a new business name.
I live in a tiny town on the Oregon Coast where it is extremely windy. I love the wind and wanted to do a play on "Windward" -- I decided on "WindWord" because of the writing/communications aspect of my work. I am very excited to see what designs can come of the use of these words together.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Most of my work is with hi-tech firms in the engineering field. However, I also work with very small businesses. I want something that will engender confidence, but not scare smaller customers away.
I would like the logo to be fresh, but also somewhat classic. (If those two things aren't jiving for you, then choose fresh and fun over classic.)
It will be used on a white background, but I would also like it to work on a black background, if possible.
I will also need a 1-color version for black/white printing.
I would like "Communications" to be downplayed in the logo (e.g., with smaller text), with the focus on WindWord.
