Discover Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular websites for the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area (also known as the Grand Strand).
Our tourism information covers accommodations, nightlife, golf, restaurants attractions and and everything else tourism related.
Our goal has always been to provide affordable tourism advertising through our website and newly created magazine.
We have always offered an extremely honest and personal experience for our advertisers and visitors to create the most in-depth information.
Our clients range in everything tourism related, but our site's audience are families, golfers, couples, spring breakers, groups and individuals looking for a great beach vacation filled with exciting and/or leisure activities.
Above all, the logo should not look like clip art. We are trying to establish a classy, stylish and official design appealing to potential advertisers, yet eye-catching enough to tourism-minded vacationers. We are not looking for something that will brand with a national feel. It should reflect our business and our area.
We want the logo to represent an authority on the area we represent.
The use of palm trees, the sun and beach balls in our area are extremely overdone. Please no beach balls. The use of the sun is OK. If designers feels the need to use a palm tree in the design, only a unique spin will be considered.
Our currently logo, found on our website http://www.DiscoverMyrtleBeach.com. It is OK at best. We are open to a completely new concept.
Color is great, but the ability to convert completely to Black or White is requested if the logo is used in print when overlapping on pictures.
We prefer the full name incorporated under the logo.
UPDATE: Use of Black lettering or Dark Blue two-tone for the word "Discover" is ideal. The words Myrtle Beach should be a separate font.
