jbrown Z got their new logo design by running a design contest:
A sophisticated cow? A modern bull? Help shape our investment firm's brand with a cow or bull logo!

Accounting & Financial
We are a new investment firm that backs franchise properties (it could be anything: luxury hotels, restaurants, retail). We have to appeal to corporate executives so they see us as competent and capable, as well as investors who see us as trustworthy and dependable.
Logo types to explore
"A cow- or bull-themed design for a new investment group. The point is to play off of one of the founders' names (Vaca, meaning "cow" in Spanish) but to convey competency, trust, strength, stability, intelligence, simplicity, and sophistication. Other financial services firms' logos are a good guideline. "The other founder is named Brown so a brown color element is nice but hardly required. Please choose whichever colors you believe best convey the overall brand message. "We are not looking for anything that screams Texas longhorns, "hard core", biker tattoos or anything that might look like a pro sports team logo. "A skull or something like it is fine and can look quite nice and even modern, but clean lines and simplicity is the watchword. Intense skulls that look like a biker gang logo are not what we're looking for. "A charging bull could work, as might a Spanish standing bull. A traditional cow's head might work, but we recognize the challenge in making a cow look cool. "Perhaps there's something else you can think of? Have fun, be creative and don't hesitate to ask if there is anything we can clarify."
