Volary needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 69 designs submitted by 15 freelance designers.
Volary means either a flight or a flock of birds, or the cage you keep them in. I'm a singer/songwriter releasing my first album, and it's very much in keeping with the contradictions of the word volary. Almost all of the songs are available to stream on my website if you'd like to form your own opinions.
I'd like to appeal to as many people as possible, but my guess is that my audience will most likely be college age and above, rather than teenagers.
I'd like a logo of an empty birdcage with an open door. Maybe there's a bird, or maybe not, but it's important for it to feel like the bird just escaped. I imagine the cage to be an old-fashioned one, as in the pics below.
I plan on using the logo for business cards, on T-shirts, etc, so something that comes out clearly and isn't too detailed is probably best. I imagine my business card as having a black background, with white text and graphics.
The font I'll be using for the word Volary will be the font used on the album cover (shown below). I've uploaded the logo text as a .png file so that you can work with it if positioning is important.
The files I will require are:
Print file format - Adobe Illustrator (CMYK).
Web file format - layered Photoshop file (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
