We are resume writers, certified by the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches, that want to attract paying clients online.
We plan to offer a free resume critique service where users upload their resumes for review and we turn around a graded report card based on over 50 criteria along with information about our paid resume writing services.
We want to seem fun, progressive, and unique, but the sad truth is that we're not. In reality, we're a bunch of underpaid frelancers that want to churn out free resume critiques as quickly as possible in hopes of enticing paying clients.
While we're not yet fun, progressive, or unique, we are very good at what we do and the free service offers a ton of value. In fact, we're hoping to overwhelm people with the value of the free critique so that they think "wow, these people really know what they're doing. Since my resume is a mess, I should pay them to fix it for me."
Please help us lead people to believe that we're cool, easy-going, and everything we wanted to be in college instead of the nerdy English majors we actually were who thought a fun time was to attend poetry readings and our own poorly-written one-act plays.
Our target audience consists of career-minded individuals that want to put their best foot forward and get ahead of other job seekers by presenting the best possible resume.
They are executives, professionals, recent college graduates, and entry-level workers. Pretty much anyone who is trying to get a job.
These people are currently unhappy. Some of them dislike their current job, others don't have a job. They have problems.
Resumellow wants to project the image of a trouble-free happy place where people can begin to solve their problems. We want to make it seem easy to get started with the help of gentle, experienced professionals.
We want a logo that has a splash of color, but not too loud. We like Web 2.0 styled logos, see this list for inspiration: http://web2list.com/logo.php
- Logos shown on a white background
- Clean design
- A graphic/icon - not just typography
- The brand name - resumellow (no need to include .com). We don't have strong feelings about capitalization vs. no capitalization
- Please deliver the final project in vector format and include your Illustrator file(s) (or something compatible with Illustrator)
- Too many colors
