Philip Graves
I am a consumer behavior consultant, author and speaker. I'm UK based but currently promoting my book in the US and work internationally.
My website (http://www.philipgraves.net) will be one location for the logo, so I need something that will work in the landscape header position (I will drop the current credit card emblem).
Possibly including some visual reference to the mind (head or brain) to reflect the consumer psychology aspect of work would be good (but nothing too vividly realistic in either case).
My target audience is primarily corporate, but my books sell to a wider non-fiction audience and I also do work in the media as a consumer behavior expert, so I don't want it to look purely corporate (whatever that means!)
I'm quite keen on having "Philip Graves" as the primary component, ideally with some additional mark, and either "Consumer Consultancy" or just "Consultancy" as a secondary element.
I have added a file with some images that may help.
One theme that would be interested to explore is that of "Associations". The human brain works by making associations so something that conveys this visually (either within a 'head' as some have done) or just the notion of associations in general or that conveys more literal thoughts about the tiny 'branches' in our brains that interconnect.
