Scott D Photography
We are a husband and wife team with a young family. We have a modern, clean, elegant sensibility and would love for our business brand to express the same.
Our studio is based out of our home and we create a fully unique and custom experience for each of our clients. We work with them before, during and after each session to accomplish getting the image that they dream of and doing it while having lots of fun!
We keep things simple, laid back and easy for everyone. This is not your typically painful photo session, it's a flowing, easy, and fun experience from the beginning to the end. We specialize in studio (not location) portraiture of families and young children.
We shop Crate & Barrel, Design Within Reach
We read Metropolitan Home, Dwell, Bon Appetit
We choose art museum over movie theater
We love and live with music (radioparadise.com!)
Financially comfortable families with young children or expecting to begin a family soon.
The decision maker is typically a female between 27 and 45.
These women are busy, time-constricted and professional. They shop boutique, they want the best for their children, and they expect their experience to be easy, pain-free and fast.
Money isn't usually the deciding factor in selecting their photographer. They want visually appealing and expensive appearing.
The logo should be boutique without being whimsical.
We prefer clean and simple to elaborate or ornate.
We want modern with warmth - but keep in mind that we're selling to an audience of parents, not art directors, so not too cutting edge
We hope for something timeless, elegant and eye-catching (not trendy)
We don't want just a simple typeface, but a recognizable design element to go with it.
The name of the company, Scott D Photography, and the logo design element should be incorporated together while still being easily separated. We'd use the logo element on our prints and packaging and the full logo with name on business cards, printed products, web, etc.
Things we don't want to see:
Birds, dogs, chickens, (animals of any sort really)
Yards of filigree
Scott HATES Teal, blue-green, and turquoise (childhood trauma?)
Clip art or stock images
The files we will require are:
