Pea Tree Photography
We are a husband and wife team specializing in newborn, maternity, and family portraiture (also some pets). We will be doing engagement and wedding shoots in the future. We offer a younger, fresher take on portraiture (not exactly photojournalistic, but not stiff and posed...just...slightly directed). We love vibrant, active, colorful photography that is full of life, but we also enjoy creating portraits that are more subdued (color-wise) with a bit of a funky retro-vintage feel.
We are looking for a design that is professional, but fun. Whimsical, but not too, too, cutesy.
Young mothers. Who are fabulous!
We are shooting for the women in the family. No offense, men. But, they are the ones calling for the photoshoots, right?
So, women who want gorgeous photos to document their pregnancy, their precious newborn babies, and their young, beautiful families...that is our target audience.
These women are willing to spend more money to get quality photos from a photography company who will take the time...to shoot it right, to get it right. They are not interested in the fast-food approach to photography. They are in it for the whole experience - to be pampered, to not be rushed, and to have wonderful, personal, images that capture their personalities and the love they have for their families.
We are looking for not just the name to be designed...but for a logo representing "Pea Tree". We are not necessarily looking for a realistic version of a Pea Tree but, perhaps, a graphic presentation of what a "Pea" "Tree" might look like. Again, fresh and whimsical but not _overly_ cute. I don't want to see any peas with googley eyes on them! ;-)
**edited to add: I think we need to get away from the tiny pea pods. I think they are too difficult to see/understand. Big whimsical peas might work or big pea pods that are open so that you can see the peas inside might be good.**
Of course the colour version will need to include green - but it, obviously, needs to be effective in B&W, as well.
We would like to be able to use just the "Tree" graphic at times and then both the Tree and the Biz Name at other times. All elements of the design will be used for both the web and for printing. We have Photoshop Elements.
NO STOCK IMAGES PLEASE!!! NO CLIP-ART PLEASE!!
We welcome any questions and we will be available to respond fairly quickly to any inquiries you may have over the next week!
Thank-you for your time and interest!!
Now...who can ROCK this design challenge?
