penflare got their new logo design by running a design contest:
PENFLARE LOGO DESIGN!
Check out penflare's Logo design contest…
Hello everyone! - UPDATE!! - 6/5/08: I will be gone for a catering event till around 10:30-11pm Eastern Standard Time - USA... I will leave feedback around that time, so dont be hatin on me if I don't give enough feedback before deadline.. thanks guys for all the hard work so far! Logos that I would like to be implemented into my logo possibly.. but obviously, just take inspiration, dont take their logo ahaha. As you can see, I provide very clear feedback and will always give you feedback. I like customized fonts, whether it be adding or cutting things out. - just keep it simple and use SUBTLE gradients.. not orange to red pleeeeease. LOGOHOLIK, VAIO, David Pache, Ocular Ink, Dreamon, Muku, just go to logopond.. lol. Please please please, take insipiration from those. ALSO- you could try doing "penflare" in not a script font, but more of like a signature style font or with a tablet.. add the gradients tho and make the background pop. - thanks. I will consider raising the prize money significantly if I receive some more designs along the lines given above. -Sean
What's your vision?
Brand Name: penflare (keep it lower case) The name penflare came to me in a dream and has absolutely no meaning. Please don't draw pen pictures!! A Little about me: I have been designing for around three months and have come to like a lot of different styles. I do like clean, modern, and fresh approaches. I am a Christian and I do find my inspiration comes from the Lord. I am very nice, and will give feedback ALOT. I have come to make a lot of friends on this site, so they better design something ;) Creative typography looks just as good as a symbol or logo. I would like to see whatever comes to your mind. You can read more about me, view my work and my styles on my website: penflare Logos where I really like their style and the typography: Sony VAIO, Logoholik, Dache, Urban Monarch, if you need more, pm me :) Please try similar styles. I want to pick a winner, because I will be re-designing my website and am really sick of my current layout. You can PM me if you have any questions. I will be providing quick and regular feedback. I respond quickly to pm's but only when I'm not sleeping which is 12am - 8am.
