I have been in business for 11 years, working my way up from no clients to a full practice. I want to expand my high-end and luxury market. I am moving to a higher-end client base, concentrating on $500K to $2.5 M USD homes in the Houston, TX area. This represents quite nice homes in our area. The individuals I target would have a net worth of at least $1M USD.
My clients typically are 45-65 YOA, 60% female, 40% male. They often own a business and own a vacation home as well as a nice primary residence. I usually work in their home, office and often vacation home as well. It is a relationship-based business, when once the relationship is established, most of my clients stay with me.
My best clients are busy and travel often. They value design but may not have the time or inclination to do it themselves.
Single professional women are often good clients as are affluent, single or divorced males, particularly those who need to create a family environment for their children.
I like to teach my clients about gracious living, entertaining, art and culture as well as bringing comfort and beauty into their homes and workplaces. Rather than being intimidating and snooty, we enjoy our clients and make them feel good about themselves and the spaces in which they live, work and play.
The process is interactive and fun for the client and they appreciate and look forward to the journey as well as the results.
