How Yasmin Glenfield started their logo design journey
I left a very senior media position to start something on line to get some balance back in my life and given I now spend a lot of time at home (albeit glued to my computer - yep still... sigh), I have now found something I'm passionate about, and that's creating a home (Abode) environment that I love to be in. I can't change the house at this point, but I can change the furniture and decor to make it feel like I'm on a 24/7 villa style holiday!! Yeah! I need your help to come up with a logo... my designs are all quality resort style furnishings from Indonesia... picture lying on a wicker outdoor double sunbed in a 5 star private villa on the beach. Sophisticated, contemporary, modern, relaxing decor that friends will beg to come to, to be entertained, or get some R&R.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I'm targeting an audience who likes to surround themselves with decadent things, who are willing to pay a little more to show their own personality. People who appreciate their own space but also love to entertain, and simply live life to the fullest. Our service will be unique in that we can custom make just about anything to suit each individuals taste. Probably more for females 25-54 but I certainly don't want to dilute my market by marketing to women only.
Given the name and the essence behind it, BUDABODE meaning 'Buddha' and 'Home', I was hoping for something that includes a version of a Buddha style figure, but to modernise it, make it a person in the same sort of sitting position, then the company name BUDABODE. I was thinking this version or statue like character would look best in a shinny silver metalic that almost looks 3D to bring it to life, but not like a cartoon, more realistic like an actual statue made of silver. I have attached two photos, hands up, and then hands down, I suspect down reflects relaxation than the one with the hands up. My colors will be silver, black and white but I was also contemplating perhaps one bright color being aqua to symbolize crystal blue waters/beach. I have attached some photos of what I like and I might be getting too detailed here, but I can envision the Buda sitting in a lotus flower pod, again, please see the photos for a better description. Really excited to see what you come up with and if you don't agree with any of this, I'd love to see what you do think would work. I'm going for serenity, class, decadence, relaxation, sophistication. Thanks sooooo much, I can't tell you how excited I am to see where this takes you!
