This was a follow up from a logo design contest awarded to babakonda. We needed splashy business cards to go along with a new web site launch with our new logo. Responsiveness and creativity was exceptional!!!
How Locky.au started their logo design journey
"Southern Cross Blacksmithing”
The business is an online blacksmith’s supplier (ie tools etc) based in Australia for the Asia pacific region, providing trade information (forum, gallery etc), and a manufacturer of hand forged ironwork ranging from architectural elements, sculpture, furniture, gates, home wares, knifes etc. A traditional blacksmith business to “artesian blacksmith”. There is a potential that this may also evolve into a sub discipline of a bladesmithing, i.e. forging knifes, swords etc.

Australia for the Asia pacific region
Traditional Blacksmiths are typically viewed as mature males; this is somewhat stereotypical view as now woman and men of all ages are participating in this lost art form as an Artist Blacksmith.
Creativity, warmth, strength and incessant ironwork elements are the hallmarks of today's Artesian Blacksmith.
There are two deliverables first is a logo comprising of the business name & artwork, then just the logo which can work in silhouette (cut out & or metal stamp). This would depend on the designs but I would image that the business name with the design would be too long for a “touchmark” (metal stamp). The deliverables would be:
1. Logo – artwork with business name
2. Logo with artwork only – artwork only for touchmark i.e. metal stamp for marking ironwork produced (graphic to function in silhouette)
Logo uses: Web site art work. “Touchmark” – logo stamp (marking ironwork produced). Signage from metal cut out i.e. Silhouette to a painted sign. Branding from clothing to novelty goods.
