Added: I am hoping that the design is not just a cliche symbol. The intent is to facilitate a voice where possible and practicable, and not co-opt anyone else's culture nor impose another culture. Thanks. Added: A couple points: I'm not a big fan of cursive because it is harder to read, especially given the name of the Institute. Also, all caps has never been that appealing. A font similar to #2 is heading in the right direction. Original: Páratu means "wind" in the Sápara language, a tribe in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The wind brings about change. It also serves as a meta-guide. In walking through the jungle with two Achuar men, they explained that the wind was a god; portending a shift in dynamics and that the observer ought to pay attention to the message that the wind was bringing. It serves as a guide, both these Achuar and to the Sápara. It is an indicator of change.
