Muscle & Strength
Muscle & Strength is the biggest natural bodybuilding, fitness, muscle building and physique site on the web. We provide information, tools, motivation and products to people looking to improve their physique. The site boasts hundreds of exercise videos, one of the fastest growing communities, huge workout routines database, photo galleries, hundreds of articles and more. What started as an informational articles site is growing into an international brand and one of the leading suppliers of nutritional supplements online.
Target audience is anyone looking to improve their physique, whether it is to build muscle, get ripped, lose weight, or compete in natural bodybuilding competitions. The site currently has members and visitors ranging from teens looking to bulk up, to professional natural bodybuilders, women looking to lose weight, fitness models, coaches and more. Age range is 15 to 50. The site appeals to both men and women.
We’re looking to upgrade our current logo. What we have is OK, but not ideal for print (clothing, promotional etc) because of the width and too much of the logo being taken up by the barbells on either side. This does not emphasize the name as much as we’d like. We see this as a major problem going forward.
What we want is something bold, simple and recognizable. Something we can print on clothing and t-shirts that people that are into weight training, fitness & bodybuilding would want to wear. We need it kept simple. We’d like to see what designers can come up with using the text only, or within the text. Simple and effective, that’s what we’re after.
The logo needs to fit the website, obviously. But we’ll also be using it for invoices, business cards, clothing, promotional items, large banners (for contest sponsorship), and anything else we’ll be doing in future.
We’d like to stick to the same or similar colors, blue and gray. These colors tend to work well on a black or white background.
Note: The muscle & Fitness logo (http://www.muscleandfitness.com/) we think is a good example of a strong bold and brandable logo, using the name only (no pictures)
