The name of the conference is “CTOF 2010”. This must be included in the logo. The conference theme is “Innovate for Impact”, which could be included in the logo but doesn’t have to be.
The logo must reflect cool technology, innovation and having an impact. Some ideas we’ve explored but have discarded are historical innovations (not cutting-edge enough) and comic book-style “pow” bursts (not innovative enough). One idea we’d like to explore is a big bang look – an explosion of planets or atomic particles from a central core. The surface of the spheres should look bright and cool (maybe metallic).
The logo should reflect Intuit’s brand guidelines. The font must be FS Albert, the colors should be as close to our brand palette (attached) as possible, and there must be prominent use of circles.
The logo will be used in a number of ways.
1) It will be pasted into emails, so it must look good against a white background.
2) It will be projected on a large screen at the conference, and we’d like to be able to animate it. If we go with the big bang concept, the obvious animation is planets shooting out from the core.
3) It will be used in posters with text on them (“General Session”, “Registration”, etc.). Either the logo could be a smaller element on the poster or it could be blown up to include the text within it (replacing “CTOF 2010”).
