52times got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Margarita Recipes Website
Check out 52times's Logo design contest…
I want to launch a site at 52margaritas.com where I will put up a new margarita recipe each week. There may be other sections on the site that deal with reviews of restaurant margaritas or with particular tequilas.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Shades of Green w/ red highlights (very flexible on this...) Desired Style: This site will be fairly blog-like in nature, and I may in fact end up implementing it on one of the blog platforms, or I may build the software custom myself... Either way, from a design perspective, take inspiration from blogs, and stylistically, I wou Accepted File Formats: HTML/XHTML, CSS, any vector/raster formats where appropriate. I have put up a very quick and horrible design for the basic idea of the site here: http://126.96.36.199/~52times/52margaritas/ You shouldn't necessarily try to make it look like this at all, this is simply what I could whip together in an hour to get my ideas across. I do like the color scheme, with the several shades of green and the red accent, but I am not married to it. My requirements for this design project are simple, semantic HTML with CSS-driven design. Ideally, the markup for the finished site should look similar to the source of the page I linked to above, and all of the design, including any images other than the actual photos of individual margaritas, are linked in from the CSS, not from the markup. The resulting HTML/CSS should work equally well in all major browsers (Firefox, IE 5+, Safari) The output of this project will be the HTML markup, the CSS stylesheet that styles it, any necessary images to make the design work (in both original vector format and the raster version used to render the page), and original and raster versions of the logo. This contest was originally listed in multiple categories: - Logo Design - Web Page Design (Coded)
