shrothermel needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 97 designs submitted by 28 freelance designers.
This will be a monogram for my personal classical music website. The website will have scores, audio, purchases, and a blog.
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
Let designers make suggestions:
I've been toying around with the idea of using impossible geometries in the logo that gives it a 3D effect (but also a flat outline effect when shading isn't present).
I was inspired by the book Godel, Escher, Bach: the eternal golden braid, by Douglas Hofstadter.
The idea I followed was the sharp angles of a symmetrical cube, but I'd be interested in a softer, ribbony flow as well (maybe still following the same angles).
The above is just my original concept - please, feel free to step outside of the box (pun intended) and create something unique, original, and reflective of -your- work.
