raf66 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for New Web Site, CrowdPoints.org
Check out raf66's Logo design contest…
Need a logo for a new web site titled "CrowdPoints.org". The site will allow people ("crowds") to input, share, and comment on GPS locations ("points"). It's an edgy Web 2.0 social networking site based around and on GPS waypoints.
What's your vision?
Need a logo for a new web site titled "CrowdPoints.org". The site will allow people ("crowds") to input, share, and comment on GPS locations ("points"). It's an edgy Web 2.0 social networking site based around and on GPS waypoints. I'd like for the logo to have a modern Web 2.0 sort of feel to it, borrowing ideas from Apple's use of reflection. This logo (for another contest on 99designs) is a good example of that feel: http://99designs.com/contests/7088/entries/456063.jpg

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
Recently completed contests:
18 to 40. I would imagine even older, but the nature of the work seems to dictate a younger (more adventurous) audience.
