How Pete Sanders started their logo design journey
Brix (domain will be BrixHQ.com)
We are a small agile team who are passionate about building quality solutions. Our current project is to be targeted at businesses and corporates, so whilst what we are looking for is Web 2.0 it has to also be professional and clean. We arent a social media/networking business, the solution we are building is around efficiency, effectiveness and collaboration across the business and the teams who use it.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Target audience as stated above is business and corporate users, but we aren't looking for IBM blue/boxy logo's. It has to be clean, professional and inviting. We are a start up and have no clients currently, weve done our research and know who our potential clients are. To be specific the target audience could be anyone from CTO's/CIO's of large organisations, through to small software development houses.
Our requirement is very specific, we need a logo for our product 'Brix'. The domain is http://www.brixhq.com (the hq component is not to be included in the logo, this is our company name - but not the product name)
The colours we feel would suit the logo are in the colour ranges of reds, burnt red/browns, oranges and yellows.
The name Brix is meant to make you think or feel of a solid structure/base, a product that helps you to build a strong foundation.
We think the term "build" is very significant.
We want the designers to feel free to be creative and come up with something exciting which will embody our product based on the details included.
