Hereward PEER Ventures
We are a start-up venture capital firm based in London. Our mission is to invest in start-up technology companies - could be pretty much any technology - and to help them become big successful ones. We get involved before these companies have any revenues, so we're backing smart entrepreneurs with big ideas.
The companies we invest with have some sort of connection to the United Kingdom, but could come from just about anywhere. Like them, we are a start-up and a small firm. We think of ourselves as being dynamic, straightforward to deal with, collaborative and good at what we do. We enjoy our jobs and and believe that we're making a positive difference to the people we work with.
A couple of key points are 1) our interest in companies originating around the world, but having a potential connection to the UK, and 2) Our collaboration with top ranked students at universities around the world to help us select and manage the best possible start-ups
There are three groups of people we want to target:
1) Investors - these are the people who invest in our Fund, relying on our expertise to invest in turn in the start-ups. They're mostly seasoned financial services professionals based in Europe and North America
2) Entrepreneurs - these are the people who have founded companies and need to be financed. They're usually very committed about their companies, passionate and focused on being successful. They want partners who can share their vision and have the means to support them.
3) Our employees and competitors/partners - these are the people who work for us, or with us. We want to attract people who are smart, hard-working and willing to learn. They've got to be passionate about the companies that we invest in, and be able to build relationships with our entrepreneurs
A logo - something that is simple and elegant, not overpowering, and not faddish. Something that speaks of the values we mentioned above, such as trustworthiness, elegance, gravitas, modernity but timelessness too. No restrictions on colors or designs. The name of the fund can be a part (or all) of the logo.
Anything submitted should be original work and not be subject to any further rights clearance, so no clip-art or embargoed fonts and so on please. No flags or national emblems please. We'll need versions that we can print (letterhead, brochures etc.) as well as use in web pages and in general on-line materials like press releases.
