Jacob Wright got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for Twig
Check out Jacob Wright's Logo design contest…
Twig is a web content management system focused on designers creating websites for clients. Twig gives power to the designer to craft the site exactly the way it needs to be, and then customizing the admin to be as simple as possible for the client to edit the site. Twig is re-brandable so the designer can make it their own. Additional features enhance the client-designer experience such as communication by sticky notes on the site for change requests to reduce email back-and-forth, and taking care of payments for the designer.
Logo types to explore
The word mark part of the logo (and maybe a simplified symbol/graphic) will go at the top of the web application. A larger fuller logo will appear on the homepage of the website (twig.io, not up right now). I'd love to see some rich illustrative treatments such as the type of logos that panic.com uses, the bonsai tree on elasticsearch.org, and shopify.com. Feel free to work with the twig theme. A stunning and attractive twig is what customers are clamoring for! Well, at least it would really help them to remember the name of the product. The "io" for the domain twig.io could be included in the logo. The product is called Twig, but including io in there, maybe as an alternative treatment or add-on, could help people remember the URL.
