mydayaway.com
mydayaway.com will promote tourism - particularly day trippers - to the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia traveling from the nearby city of Vancouver, British Columbia region. Dozens and dozens of day trip itineraries featuring various activities will be available to plan and print. The Sunshine Coast is a 40 minute ferry ride from Vancouver and is best known for it's natural wonders - towering evergreen trees and seaside beaches and parks. It is also a vibrant artists community. mydayaway.com will provide printable self-directed itineraries for 'day-trippers' to choose from and print that include ferry information, suggested dining and activity options for a one-day escape from the city.
Our audiences are active 40ish couples and 'girls'. Both audiences are interested in hiking, nature walks, golf, kayaking, cycling, gardening, farmers markets, gallery-hopping, visiting artist studios and 'foodie' experiences.
One/two couples or a group of women traveling together for a day-trip by car - that enjoy a flexible lifestyle where they can get away for a day. (business owners, active 40's)
Our audience is looking for fun, a mini-break, and likes to explore new places. mydayaway.com provides ideas for activities and the convenience of detailing the logistics of the day trip.
We're promoting adventure and getting away from the city to the beauty of nature - YET still enjoy galleries, culture, fine dining, shopping, golf etc.
The logo will represent mydayaway.com - a website of day trip itineraries.
The logo will include the website name:
mydayaway.com
The font should be simple and clear to read (no scripty fonts)
Playful colours, folksy, artsy - our website will have a similar feel to the Australian Road Trips website below.
We favor the road sign concept on these 2 websites
http://www.australianroadtrips.com/
http://www.aatravel.co.nz/gkrt/
We like the idea of the above examples of folksy and artsy looking signposts. They have an inviting and fun feel and will draw our visitors into getting started on exploring our website to plan their trip and print and itinerary.
Please avoid anything that looks corporate.
The files we require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMKY)
Web file - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
The work must be original, please, no clip art or stock photos
