Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Glyn's listeners are typically baby-boomers (Glyn is also of that era).
i.e. Women & men interested in storyline-driven lyrics
I would say my type of music will appeal to the "Baby Boomers" which I am part of. My songs are about the world from my perceptive, Office work, kids, a 60 years olds view of the world. I doubt the Gen "Y" or "X" would be into the lyrics or the softer / reflective tempo. Comments on my lyrics are they are story line driven. I hope those that would like my music will appreciate its a little different and does not fall into easy category, enjoying the strong message in the lyrics..
The Music I have created has to date has been classified as Soft Rock/ Country. Visit http://www.glynjones.com.au have a listen and tell me which genre you think it fits. You can also see some photos of me there as well.
I am no fool and understand I am not going to tour the States doing the opening to some big Rock band. On the other hand I am experienced enough to know I need to have a strong logo/font that I can use as a Brand on all copy, album covers, promotions ect.
Generally I am preserved to be a lot younger than my actual age, in looks and attitude. In my work world most young duds go for black BMW's. I have a "mellow yellow" (which is on my player, Donovan) soft top Mimi. Very hairdresser not IT Consultant.
The image Neil Diamon (in the attahment) is how my music and age is possible Perceived . HOWEVER. THIS IS NOT WHO I AM.
I feel more akin to what David Bowie represents, rebel, always moving with the fashion, changing with each era. Always growing.
Bob Dylan, always doing what I want to. Creating my own style of music, not trying to fit some general mold.
I want a strong Logo/Text/Fontface "Bold; direct; clean; unclutted"
Not "cleaver; Obscure; ambiguous
