Logo & Stationery Design for Funky Wholesale Furniture Co.

I have a start-up wholesale furniture company based in Australia and I am looking for a logo and stationery design. I have a couple of thoughts on the design but I'm also looking for fresh ideas too.

Desired Color Scheme:
Maybe monochromatic shades with a splash of bright red but I am open to ideas

Desired Style:
I have suggested a monochromatic colour scheme with a splash of bright red, however that is just an idea and I am open to other options. I probably prefer warmer colours, reds, oranges etc. maybe offset with a cooler shade.
In terms of fonts I am thinkin

runaway traders (all lower text) is a furniture wholesaler importing predominantly from Asia and supplying furniture hire companies, restaurants, bars and hotels in Australia with contemporary, stylish furniture and decor.
I am looking for a logo which will represent the origins of the business name and my preferred idea is something along the lines of a traditional style birdcage with a red origami crane escaping from it.
Having said that, I am open to any other ideas that you think may suit the name - anything your creative genius can throw out there! It could incorporate a bindlestiff (the stick with a handkerchief tied to it that hobos and runaways use) etc. Anything your imagination stretches to!
