Automatic Studio is a new Australian Digital Product Design agency, specialising in consulting, mentoring and training in user experience design. You can read more (emphasis on the READ! - there's no graphics :-) at http://www.automaticstudio.com.au
We need a logo stat as a starting point, ready for some PR next week!
Key audiences are organisations developing digital products (software, web sites, mobile applications, devices...) who require help to maximise the user experience of their products or services.
Key customers are probably managers of product development projects. They probably have an appreciation of or aspiration for good design personally. They MAY not have a good appreciation for how to go about it though.
We need a logo that is practical for us to build a brand on over time, so needs to be flexible for on-screen, print and interactive.
A key brand proposition is helping organisations tackle tough problems and expressing them in a way that is simple and powerful.
Engaging Automatic Studio is fun and inspiring because they are creative, experienced, respected, extremely collaborative, extremely PASSIONATE and SMART!
Personally I have a fairly minimal design preference. Efficient, clever, simple are words that come to mind. Iteration, sketching and prototyping and collaboration are key parts of the way we work. MUJI is one of my favourite brands (hence the maroon I guess - which is not a requirement). I quite like the 99designs logo too...
Strapline is currently "Digital Product Design". I'm interested in ideas that include the strapline, as well as those that don't.
