Excellent is not even enough for the great job the designer did. We went back and forth multiple times and there was never a flicker of tiredness. Keep up the good job. kudos to the founder of the 99designs webiste for arranging this great way of getting the best logo.
How OpticSM started their logo design journey
The Headgardener Salon
The Headgardener Salon is an established Salon in a small summer resort town in Canada. The salon is run by a british woman who clearly wants to show her patriotism.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
A wide demographic - generally women, 18-65 who are looking for quality and value in top quality hair care. Average customer is caucasian, makes a decent living or is in retirement (the town has a high population of retirees). While in a summer / lake resort town, the salon does not really cater to a tourist market.
The logo should be a somewhat literal interpretation of "The Headgardener". My client is looking for a tree in the shape of a head (see attached reference image), with scissors giving the hair a trim. The scissors should be overlayed with the British union jack flag. I picture the scissors out to the left top of the photo.
Text in a curve around the top of the logo should be "The Headgardener Salon" in an appropriate font.
Need to end up with a vector (EPS or Corel 14) file to output on various items such as signage, business cards, etc.
