Great design and great designer. He was very willing to fine tune our knit-picky details.
We were looking for an icon that would add meaning to a name that is defined by local legal requirements. We got something that real told our story visually.
How Rate Hammer started their logo design journey
We help average people negotiate with their own bank and win.
Ideally we would like to see the financial system overhauled, but since that will not happen overnight we figure we may as well infrom consumers so they do not get taken advantage of by their banks.
Rate Hammer is designed to assist people hammer their own bank for deal.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
A story to help you picture our typical client:
Mr. Smith was a loyal customer of his bank for 20 years. He had all of his accounts and mortgages with his bank. His mortgage was up for renewal and he called his banker and asked for the best possible mortgage rate, she quoted him 4.00% for a 5 year mortgage
This seemed great and David thanked her and said he would be in to sign next week when he wasn't so busy.
The exact same week at the same bank and with the same banker two savvy first time buyers were also looking for a mortgage. They had done their homework and knew the best rates at the time were 3.69%.
With hardly any effort the first time buyers with barely 2 nickles to rub together were offered 3.69%.
This actually happened. How can a bank offer a much better rate to a new customer and yet take advantage of loyal existing customers? It seems messed to us too.
That is why we started Rate Hammer. It is designed for people like David and anyone else who is tired of being taken advantage of by their bank.
Rate Hammer informs people like David on the best unpublished rates and shows them exactly what to say to their bank to get the lowest possible rate.
They get the best possible deal without the hassle of switching lenders.
Need a logo. The image we have on the site is okay. I like the little guy with the hammer, but I am open to something different.
Obviously something with a hammer and an interest rate sign would be good.
A house could also be used.
The colors are Red and Sivler.
The current ratehammer site needs a face lift. Here is what the programmers have put together but I want something cooler. The logo needs to fit in the banner at the top of this page. The dimensions are:
Ideally somethign that will fit in a 900 pixel wide banner. Height can be adjusted. It would be good if ti would also work with a 300 pixel wide banner for mobile browsers.(if this is impossible then just do the 900 pixel banner)
