The Digital Natives project is a collaboration among folks from the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School and the Research Center for Information Law at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. We are in the market for a Digital Natives logo, to be designed by a digital native for our wiki (www.digitalnative.org). **In order to enter the contest, you must be 17 or younger.**
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: any, but must work in black and white as well Desired Style: As far as design goes, we have no real restrictions beyond the common sense variety (no plagiarism, nudity, or profanity), so use your imagination! Accepted File Formats: .jpg, .ai, .eps, .ps What is the Digital Natives Project?* We are spending a lot of time thinking, reading, writing, and talking about what it means to be born digital." On the wiki, we tackle everything from what it means to be a digital native to cyber bullying to how youth are active online creators and collaborators. *What are the rules?* As far as design goes, we have no real restrictions beyond the common sense variety (no plagiarism, nudity, or profanity), so use your imagination! It can be text-based, image-based, or text AND image-based (crazy talk, eh?). We want something that conveys what its like to grow up as YOU - immersed in and contributing to a world of digital media. In short, we want you to make a logo that you think would make others like you come to our wiki. *Some guidance:* The logo should be usable in both black and white and color. The logo must be original work of the submitter. *Words to help summarize the project: * Youth | activism | avatar | identity | exploration | connect | connected | collaborate | share | learn | reflect | literacy | socialize | gadgets | tools | privacy | mash-ups | instant | multi-tasking | limitless | civic engagement | online | texting | spirited | immersion | creativity | participants | implications | social | *Who can enter*: Youth 17 and under *Uses for logo*: Primarily our website (www.digitalnative.org), but also used in presentations and printed materials about the project. *How to submit your entry*: In addition to submitting your design through Sitepoint.com, to qualify for the award you must send us an email (email@example.com) with the below required information: Required information: Name Email address Sitepoint username (so we can match up your design with your info) Age School/Affiliation Adult contact person (name/email address or phone number) Short written description of the logo (optional) How did you hear about the contest? *Deadline*: May 1, 2007 *Copyright assignment:* The Berkman Center will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the winning designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation all other rights related to the design. By submitting a logo for entry in the competition, the designer acknowledges that he/she is the person that made the logo and is its rightful owner. The designer also certifies that the logo does not infringe upon the rights of any third party and that it does not violate any copyright.
