Lakeside Family Farm
We're a 4th generation farm in Central Maine that's looking to develop more of a brand for our mixed vegetables in local markets.
Here's a taste of some of the vegetables we grow that might provide some inspiration: peas, string beans, corn, beets, corn, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, lettuce, kale, broccoli, chard, and even more! We'd love for a logo to incorporate one or more of these vegetables, but...we're open to additional style suggestions.
We sell primarily to wholesale accounts now, but are planning to expand into alternative markets like farmers' markets and maybe a roadside stand. This logo would be on a label you might find in the produce section of your local grocery store.
We would like the logo to reflect the importance of small-scale, local agriculture in Maine, or maybe highlight the vegetables themselves - there are really several different directions we'd be excited about.
We're looking for a logo to use on our packaging and promotional materials. For example, we pack snap peas in a small, plastic clamshell box that's crying out for a beautiful label! Additional uses might involve a 50 lb. paper potato bag, web usage, or the welcoming canvas that is the side of our delivery trucks.
We want to distance ourselves from the sleek corporate logos of big agriculture, but define ourselves as more upscale than your typical backyard gardener.
- We do need the text "Lakeside Family Farm" and "Newport, Maine" in the image.
- As you might expect, the design must be scalable.
- no cartoons, no clipart, no photographs.
- Multicolored designs are fine (welcome, even) but a black and white version should be pretty snazzy as well.
- file formats should be in .jpg, .psd and (UPDATE) .ai.
Sorry we can't provide more explicit requirements, but we're pretty open to different kinds of ideas!
