2fish needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 70 designs submitted by 13 freelance designers.
Web design and hosting company in business for 10 years needs a new look. Our clients are primarily artists, quilters, and art supply companies, with a large and growing subniche of animal-related sites and services -- dog rescue groups, spay/neuter clinics, doggie daycares, veterinarians, and the like.
2FishWeb.com
2FishWeb began as an outgrowth of my fiber art work, Pisces Moon Studio LLC, and the sites I created for myself and a select few other fiber artists. As my web business began to grow, I realized that potential clients were having difficulty with the name "Pisces Moon" -- I was getting phone calls for "Pieces of the Moon" and other people who didn't know what a Pisces was or how to spell it.
Two years ago I changed the website name to 2FishWeb.com. Easier to spell, easier to understand, and a whole lot shorter to type than PiscesMoonWebDesignLLC.com. I'm now in the process of changing the corporate name to 2FishWeb LLC to match.
I have continued to use the original 1998 stitched fiber art logo showing two fish and a crescent moon, but it's past time to update it to something more professional, more contemporary, and much less fussy.
- Company name in caps and lower case: 2FishWeb.com.
- Two fish somewhere in the logo. Perhaps a pair of koi breaking the water surface with stylized ripples, just below the text. Or maybe an updated stylized two fish in a circle, yin-yang style.
- Cool colors: blue, purple, green, silver gray. A hint of pink or orange in the koi is okay. Gradients and reflections are good.
- Artwork to be provided as vector Illustrator file (CS3 or less). Fonts outlined or otherwise embedded. (Also, please tell me which font(s) you used.)
- Name in all caps.
- Neon.
- Grunge.
