Shamgar Tracts produced a great idea off the bat and was flexible with the tweaks we wanted and the file types we needed. It was a great experience and I would work with them again!
How Somebody Else started their logo design journey
We've been hosting and doing web development for close to 7 years but under a very generic name, badly designed logo etc. It's time to recreate ourselves. I play conga drums, we host a lot of musicians and wanted something playful and unique.
I'm open to taglines "walk to a different drummer" / "we beat the competition" anything that kind of goes with the drum / rhythm / beat theme. We've been a bit stuck on ideas there. Tagline not essential. Leave it out unless you think it really works well.
We want the conga part to be the main, leaving the rest flexible so we can do something like Virgin style branding, utilising the name for a number of different business. Hosting and Web development are our current main businesses.
Want to be able to put the logo on a polo and be able to wear it out casually.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want the logo to be professional enough to sit comfortably with corporates, yet our main appeal would be the 25-35 yo cool, hip group. Think groove, jazz, mellow, sleek, smooth. We love open source, humanity, ecology, sustainability and want to attract these customers.
I have a particular fondness for cutout text, though I am not sure this would translate to business card or t-shirt design too well.
We want that anything after the word "conga" so it can be implemented as a font rather than an image (for seo purposes), so congawebhosting or congahosting could be options but for the sample logo, please design it as "congahost".
We are up for experimenting and ideas though, so if you think you have an idea that could work but doesn't quite fit with the above, feel free to give it a try. We consider you guys to be the professionals and to lead us here.
