NAME: Sparrow Research Group
TAGLINE: "Gather, Synthesize, Utilize"
LOGO: We would like to see the logo both with and without the tagline. Also, the logo can include an abstract reference to a sparrow (perhaps an outline of a bird, a wing, or a nest). See below for more info about why we chose a bird reference.
CONCEPT BEHIND NAME: We chose the name because we view research like building a nest : GATHER disparate information, SYNTHESIZE this information n a way that tells a story and is useful for our clients, so that our clients can UTILIZE the information to improve programs and policies, and thus health outcomes for the public.
OUR PROFESSIONAL SIDE:
We are a new international public health consulting firm specializing in program and policy evaluation, as well as social science research. Using theory-driven research approaches, SRG works collaboratively with organizations to gather information, answer key questions, and make decisions necessary to solve health challenges facing populations worldwide. With a dynamic team of consulting experts located throughout the United States, we have the capacity to meet a wide range of client needs. We conduct research on any topic related to health, including obesity prevention, prevention of infectious diseases, promotion of nutritional foods, etc.
OUR FUN AND CREATIVE SIDE:
On the face of it, we are a business that is difficult to explain in an exciting way. We are fun and creative, really. We are also a small team of mostly PhDs that provides personal attention. We are young, fun to work with; we are flexible; we meet deadlines; we communicate regularly with our clients.
LOGO LOOK AND FEEL: Professional (our clients are prestigious organizations), hip, but not *too* hip (we do statistical analysis much of the day, after all)!
TARGET AUDIENCE: Clients will include international organizations (e.g., World Health Organization), government agencies (e.g., Centers for Disease Control, New York City Department of Public Health), non-profits, foundations (e.g., Gates Foundation) and businesses (e.g., advertising)
