A. WHAT IS THE STARTUP (Name: PLEDGE):
People find it hard to stay committed to getting fit. Every year, 66% of New Year’s resolutions made are fitness related. 73% of these resolutions fail, most within 6 weeks or less.
Pledge is a 12-week body transformation/fitness challenge that not only provides a proven training program, but also incentives and an inbuilt commitment mechanism that locks people into to their fitness resolutions.
Participants seek moral support along this arduous journey from loved ones (family & friends) who show their encouragement by making donations to a designated charitable cause. The participants therefore have the added responsibility of supporters who have invested time and money in them. This accountability to loved ones creates a powerful exit barrier against quitting.
Pledge is about:
