Real Estate & Mortgage
The key idea behind Lancaster HomeStory is that "every home has a story." Lancaster HomeStory is a brand that exists primarily as a website and other media, offering both written and video content. The brand 1) presents the history and features of neighborhoods in Lancaster, PA (focusing on the City of Lancaster and nearby suburbs, but also extending to Lancaster County as a whole), and 2) provides a platform for homeowners who want to sell their home to tell the story of their home, including the characteristics of the home itself, as well as the home's history, stories about the family or families who have lived in the home, the home's role or place in the community, and any other interesting story elements about the home and community. The content of the site will be curated from both professionally-written pieces, as well as consumer-submitted content. The site will give visitors and prospective homebuyers the feeling and experience of learning about homes and neighborhoods in Lancaster, PA from the perspective of someone intimately familiar with the home, neighborhood and surrounding area--someone whose expertise about the home and neighborhood comes from actually living there. The target audience is people who are looking to buy or sell a home in Lancaster. A key target segment is people who may have heard of or been to Lancaster, and they are considering moving here, but they aren't familiar with the area and the many nearby towns and neighborhoods.
BRIEF UPDATE: In addition to the design feedback I've given each of you for editing your designs, please try to create a design similar to the image I uploaded here. Something similar to the house/book idea, but place "Lancaster HomeStory" to the right of the logo, capitalize the L in Lancaster and the H and S in HomeStory (and put Lancaster on top of HomeStory, with the words all being the same size and weight). Let's make this design gold on a black background. Thanks! THE LOGO Lancaster GOES HERE HomeStory ======================ORIGINAL BRIEF======================= We would like the logo to be a horizontal rectangle, and have it incorporate both the words "Lancaster HomeStory" (be sure to capitalize the H and S in "HomeStory"). The brand is a sophisticated luxury brand, and so the typeface should reflect this (we have a preference for sans-serif typefaces). We would also like the logo to include a graphic that will serve as an icon that can be used either as part of the logo or by itself. Images that you might explore include a stylized red rose (Lancaster, PA is known as the "Red Rose City"), a book with turning pages, or other images that could communicate the idea of a "story." DO NOT use an image of a house. Individual elements (like a roof) could be considered, but we don't want the logo to evoke a specific age or style of home. We envision the logo with the word "Lancaster" stacked on top of "HomeStory" and the icon/graphic to the left of those stacked words. The words "Lancaster HomeStory" should be black, with the icon/graphic being the only color. Red and grey/blue are colors we are leaning toward, but are open to other colors.
