Caroline O’Connell Law Logo Creative Brief The Company Caroline O’Connell Law is a firm for the alcoholic beverage industry and for small emergent companies. It is being founded in 2020. Caroline O’Connell Law is the go-to Liquor and hospitality law firm of the Massachusetts and broader east coast of North America. The task at hand Caroline O’Connell Law requires a new logo and supporting identity system for the launch of their website and other print collateral. In addition to digital applications, a 1-colour version of the mark will be required for laser engraving on wood, metal or glass. An icon version of the logo must also be considered for use in various social media properties and a Horizonal and Vertical option for the logo. Target audience The primary audience is small and emerging business owners in the alcoholic beverage space in North America who are looking for legal advice on complying with and navigating complicated alcoholic beverage law, need assistance with transactional matters and how to expand their businesses or larger entities who require local counsel or Massachusetts specific advice. Main communication goals All deliverables should position the company as the principal choice in legal representation, represent a commitment to customers and their legal needs, and reflect a dedication to the hospitality and liquor industry. Though Caroline O’Connell Law should project a feeling of authority for the law, communications should also be approachable and speak to the audience in an honest way. Competitive landscape Local competitors include Law Offices of John Connell, Devlin Law Offices, Lawson & Weitzen, LLP, Considine & Furey.… Global competitors include… Caroline O’Connell Law is also indirectly competing with other small boutique law practices, such as Buchman Law Firm, Malkin Law, Kaleo Law and some larger practices such as McDermott Will & Emery and Pillsbury Law. Although we all complete in the alcoholic beverage space, all of these firms are also referral sources, so we all try to maintain good relationships.… IMPORTANT – Please Read - Creative direction & key concepts Logo should feel approachable, confident, refined, luxe, well crafted, and vibrant. Avoid cutesy, whimsical, gimmicky, Law Columns, Balances, and Gavels. Must be Authoritative but Approachable, Clean but Creative. A hidden liquor (bottle, martini or wine glass) reference would be nice, but must be hidden and not obvious and not required.
