Krank or Crank (see below)
GPF is a product sourcing endevour. We've found some great new softboards with a superior approach to construction techniques and need a logo to help market them.
We take a full throttle but have fun approach and the logo will need to reflect this.
The product will be aimed at new surfers from around 10 years old all the way through to reitrees looking for a new interest. A important part of the market will be those that currently surf and are looking for equipment to introduce their kids to surfing. This demographic wil be familiar with all the current big name brands and logos.
We'd like to see some imagination used for this. The actual spelling of the brand may well come down to which design we select. So not only is this chance to cut loose for you as a designer, you may well finish up deciding the spelling of the brand as well!! Krank or Crank, let's see what you come up with. Things like reversing the front 'k' or using the 'C' as a stylised wave are all in scope. Please note they are not compulsory or anything like that, just examples. Get out of the box on this, surfing is a very free form sport so the options are limited only by your imagination.
Colors are up to you, the decks of the boards it will be will generally be red, blue or yellow. It must be easily read and incorporate either 'krank' or 'crank'. The use of a symbol is an option, refer to the brand Tonik.
The customer base will be familiar with all the big surf brand names and their logos/symbols, these might provide some inspiration but we wouldn't want something that people look at and go 'hey that reminds me of the (insert big surf compnay name here) logo'
The logo needs to convey power, surf, commitment, strength
The logo must be supplied in formats for use online (gif, jpeg) and the background must be transparent, as well as a format that can be resized without loss for printing onto the boards (vector?).
Thanx for looking, can't wait to see where your imagination takes us.
