Old got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Koosk - Logo design for the creative
Check out Old's Logo design contest…
Please, please please don't limit yourself to the style of the logos/fonts i have put in the public forum - be as creative as you can, BE UNCONVENTIONAL!!! I will be visiting the contest daily and will leave feedback with every designer. The Koosk logo needs to be innovative, professional and original as there will need to be scalability with a subtle corporate feel as the business grows. *** Updates: > Links to inspirational logo have been added in the public forum > Links to fonts i am loving at the minute added in the public forum (don't worry they are all free for spec work/personal use) > More links to inspirational logo with descriptions added in public forum
What's your vision?
Tagline: ***Tagline Optional*** Desired Color Scheme: Please use your creativity - i am open to all color schemes Desired Style: bold, readible, not web 2.0 style (no reflections) Accepted File Formats: Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai) Reason for a designer wanting a logo design Firstly koosk.co.uk will be a web design portfolio expanding to a full business. I am outsourcing the logo design as this is not my forte and i am aware of some fantastic logo designers on here. I do have very high standards but will not interfere with your creativity and design process.  Why Koosk the choice of 'koosk' originated through discussion with my devlopers about an original, short, snappy and rememboral name that did not initially relate to the web design/development field. It also needed to sound either personal and have the scalability to build into a brand for a business.  Inspiration Please do not take any of these logo design literally as i am after originality. Some sources i use, as many of you are probably aware are: http://www.faveup.com http://www.logopond.com  What i like I am a massive typography fan, so please take a lot of time thinking about your font, placement of text and adaption of text to fit the logo. I love clean, bold and readible logos - bear in mind that this logo with also need a print version for business cards, stationary etc (please feel free to use effects for the web version, but a printable version will also be required). If you want to add a symbol/element/icon with 'koosk' please feel free to do so. Though this is not necessary. If inclined to, please go down the abstract route that promotes creativity and does not symbolise anything to strongly.  What i don't like  The whole web 2.0 style trend that is currently around the web at the moment. I do not want reflections on/under/alongside text. Harsh gradients/effect - subtle design elements wins everytime. Unrefined concept, please ensure that the design placement and layout is pixel perfect. Consistency and relevancy with your concept that you would be comfortable to elaborate on if needed.  Proposal/Feedback  Please give a detailed description of your work and explain your concept. I will be checking this contest daily and giving feedback to every single entry. I will attempt to be thorough and relevant to each design without interfering with your creativity. Â
