Louisville Metro InfoSec Conference (LMIC)
The Louisville Metro InfoSec Conference's mission is to provide education, networking and fun opportunities to the Midwest's information security pros and white-hat hackers. We bring in world-class speakers, trade vendors and hacking competitions.
The conference has keynote speakers along with both technical and business speakers.
We always have 3 things - learning, networking and fun!
The target audience is information security professionals, network engineers, programmers, managers and executives, along with white-hat or professional hackers.
People come to this conference mostly to hear the world-class speakers, but they also rub elbows with some of information security's elite and well-known.
We are looking for a logo that will be useful on our website, programs and literature, t-shirts, bumper stickers, coffee mugs, etc.
Since it's a security conference, the more abstract, the better. Creativity is good! Nothing cliche like locks or white hats. Our current logo is an eye with the matrix code - something along these lines might work.
Should look good in multi-color, single color and black and white.
Would prefer the to have the graphic and words together and also the graphic alone - it should stand alone - LMIC.
It's a fun conference but also professional, appealing to professional security people and the "hacker-types".
The conference is in Louisville, but it's more of a regional/midwest conference. We aren't looking to make it Louisville-specific.
A darker logo with colors standing out might look good but isn't a requirement.
If you can make a focus on the first letters LMIC - that might look good.
This logo will be used in all marketing initiatives for several years.
We also need a "vector" image.
Contender for winning - we need:
1. vector version (3 color, vector)
2. single-color version (e.g. black on white, vector)
3. Vector version where it's only blue + black. (with no gradient)
