Of 8-10 Estheticians' websites checked, none is focused on cancer skin care. 5. Please provide general information about your business (location, years in business, employees, etc.) Location: Las Vegas, NV Business: Start-up in 3-4th quarter 2012 Employees: Owner plus 2 Estheticians/RN, 1-2 nail technicians, 1-2 bodyworkers, 1-2 energy workers, 1 receptionist . Staff space on site: 4 rooms plus 2 nail areas and reception. Possible affiliation with physician. Hrs of Operation: 7 days/week using FT and PT staff and evening hours. A body that has been subjected to strong medications/chemotherapy becomes compromised, fragile, ultra-sensitive. An individual experiencing cancer herself or one's friends/family members are frequently emotionally vulnerable. This business would endeavor to create an environment and provide services that would be “tender through touch” and through compassionate demeanor during the facial or other service. 3. Too much of a frivolous feeling would diminish the clinical treatment aspect – yet too much of a hospital/medical feeling would deny the opportunity for relaxation and respite that will be possible with the services offered. 7. Do you have any color preferences? Colors that denote classical-upscale; serenity; elegance; professional; gender-neutral. When used on a business card, the card will be one that men are comfortable having others see in their possession. 8. Where will you be using this logo design? My Vision of my physical space: Visual: Environment will convey: classical elegance; very softened “clinical/medical” atmosphere; soft colors in warm tones Auditory: Background sounds of classical and/or new age music played softly; waterfall or flowing water sound Tender Touch Skin Clinic provides skin care to clients of all ages and gender dealing with a diagnosis of or post-treatment for cancer. The Clinic is also a respite site for caretakers with all varieties of responsibility. This Clinic offers a serene atmosphere for treatment in a pristine environment supported by Estheticians practicing the highest level of sanitation in all services. Practitioners use state of the art products (some designed specifically for cancer patients) to restore and renew clients' skin, minimizing the evidence of chemical disturbance from medical treatments. The Clinic décor has the serenity of an understated “new age” environment and is gender-neutral. No “flower-power” images or motivational statements are present that bring to mind the presence of or recovery from illness.
