Vmcleod1 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Help Bankruptcy Attorney with a new logo/branding

Attorney & Law
I am a bankruptcy attorney, musician (metal/punk bands) and a slight techie. I need a business logo that can be used on letterheadand envelopes, my website (www.vmcleodlaw.com), favicon and business cards. I would like this to be a branding type of logo that will be instantly recognizable. My target audience is anyone in debt and most of my cases come from the web and referrals. The logo/branding should be friendly and at the same time convey trust. I'm a bankruptcy lawyer and people who seek my advice are desperate, sad and embarrassed so the logo should be uplifting, however, gender-neutral (no scroll-y cursive monogram stuff). I absolutely do not want anything associated with traditional law firms like columns, gavels, scales, lady justice UNLESS it is used in a non-traditional, contemporary or unusual way. An example being lady justice wearing Chucks or playing bass. Those are terrible examples but I'm sure you get where I'm coming from. I want to be set apart from the stodgy country-club lawyers. See my website at www.vmcleodlaw.com to get a good idea about who I am and how the design must fit in. The web logo requirements state "recommended to use a 24/32-bit transparent PNG file. Your logo should also be proportionately resized before uploading." Respect with unconventional attitude.
