BLP99 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Hardcore Graphic for US Air Force Criminal Defense Attorneys
Check out BLP99's Logo design contest…
Attorney & Law
We are Air Force Defense Attorneys. We defend alleged criminals of serious crimes in the courtroom. I'm looking to create a tshirt graphic that I can also use on a challenge-coin and perhaps also on a big blown up piece of wall art for our unit. Perhaps out of here would come at least a character or a mascot. We don't take ourselves too seriously but we do serious work and sometimes its dark...but we like to win. Try to incorporate "Blackjack" "bombs" a court room (or skull w barristers powdered wig)-and, if possible, some sort nod to the Luke AFB (Phoenix), Travis AFB (San Francisco), Nellis AFB (Las Vegas), Edwards AFB (Rosamond, CA) [feel free to nod to their host-city or any aircraft or mission they accomplish. Again, i like the idea of a playing card somehow integrated if possible...but dont force it.
We are in the military and it should have a solid, hardcore, dark overtone that spews winning (but is also PC). I like the idea of a skull wearing a barristers wig. Perhaps we could put him on a "blackjack" playing card bench somehow. Maybe he's coming out of the card or maybe a BOMB or explosion blew him out of the card. Or maybe the skull with the wig is riding a blackjackbomb (nobody knows what that is but maybe its on a playing card) and looking like Dr Strangelove riding the bomb. Working the Scales of Justice into the design would be cool. It might also be cool to use a Gavel...but that would be my second choice. Feel free to be creative. I may even go for something that doesn't have a skull....I'm just stuck on this skull idea and cant think of anything else cool. I've included some other squadron patches as ideas (I'm not really going for any one of these specific looks, but it was what helped generate the idea of what I'm trying to do. My vision is more detail oriented than most of these squadron patches though. But the idea of a mascot and unit brand is consistent.) These are going to go on morale coins, shirts, and I'm going to throw up a big graphic in our unit building too. Esprit de corps and unit identity is the goal. *No Federal, DoD, or USAF endorsement intended. These are my personal thoughts and a personal design proposal.
